			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Little things can make a big difference</strong></span></p>
<p>This may be the only time in your life that putting your (best) foot forward may hinder rather than help you.  If your foot falls in front of you while running, it is essentially acting as a brake and will decrease your speed.</p>
<p>TRI TIP: During training, be conscious of where your foot falls when you are running.  The ideal place is directly under your center of mass.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Don&#8217;t lose your mind</strong></span></p>
<p>One of the biggest mistakes an athlete can make while training for a multisport event is focusing solely on strengthening the body.  But if you leave your brain at home during training, your lack of focus could cost you valuable time on race day.</p>
<p>TRI TIP: Engage both your body and mind while training.  Varying your workouts not only challenges your body to progress, it also stimulates your mind, naturally fueling your motivation.  Some easy ways to switch things up: alternate indoor and outdoor workouts, find a training partner, ask your kids or a friend to time you, incorporate an alternative activity into your training (For example, pilates targets the mind and body, and helps to build flexible, strong muscles without adding bulk).</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>It&#8217;s like riding a bicycle&#8230;Well, sort of</strong></span></p>
<p>It is said that once you learn to ride a bicycle, you never forget; once the skill is learned, it comes naturally.  One way to find some sense of familiarity and be properly prepared for a multisport event is to simulate what you will encounter on race day.  If you train in similar conditions, using the equipment you plan to use, it will feel more natural when the big day arrives and every second counts.</p>
<p>TRI TIP:  If the bike you have been training on is reliable, stick with it.  Buying a shiny, new bike may be tempting, but you might find fumbling with unfamiliar equipment during the event to be frustrating and time consuming.  And if you really want something shiny and new, aim for that trophy.</p>

<p>This event is for those who want to participate in a Triathlon but rather do something short, fast, fun and with your favorite friends or family members. There are 3 persons per team. Each person will navigate the entire swim/bike/run course individually with the last team member heading to the finish line. Get a team together from your company, school or health club.</p>
<p>Each team member receives a souvenir finisher medal and T-shirt.</p>
<p><strong>150 Meter Swim</strong> &#8211; starts at Lagoon #4. You swim the lagoon then run to the transition area. The swim course is monitored by life guards.</p>
<p><strong>5K Bike</strong> &#8211; goes from the Transition Area at Lagoon #4 out to the main resort road and up to the back gate. Here you make a 180 technical turn then return to the Transition Area.</p>
<p><strong>2.5K Run</strong> — The run course is beautiful, fast, and closed to vehicle traffic. It goes from the Transition Area heading along the sidewalk to the main road to the Lagoon #3 entrance. Turn LEFT down the lagoon paths back to Lagoon #4 where you will TAG your teammate and cheer them on as they start their turn, navigating this fun, fast, and safe course.</p>
